2 days Sahara Desert Trekking in Morocco involves walking through the vast dunes of southern Morocco with a professional nomadic guide and camel handlers. A caravan of camels carries your luggage, allowing you to fully immerse yourself in the experience.
On this trek, you will experience the vast and mesmerizing desert landscape, encounter nomads in unique ways, and observe the rich animal and plant life that thrive in this extreme environment. You will have the chance to relax and enjoy the silence of the Sahara, completely disconnecting from civilization. Throughout the trek, you will move at your own pace, guided by camel handlers who know the desert intimately. Before each stage, they gather the camels, which have fed on desert shrubs during the night. They will also collect firewood, prepare tea, and bake bread in the sand. You will sleep under the stars in tents, experiencing the true essence of desert life.
Additionally, you will have the opportunity to taste authentic Moroccan cuisine, prepared by the camel handlers. Regular breaks throughout your walk allow time for eating, drinking, observing, and contemplating the desert surroundings.
2 days Sahara Desert Trekking in Morocco is available from mid-September to mid-May when the moderate temperatures make it ideal for a camel trek. We organize treks starting with just two participants, on the date of your choice. Whether you’re seeking a short adventure or a longer journey, this desert trek offers an unforgettable experience.

Our camel desert trek start by walking from M’hamid (our Oasis Camp to discover the beautiful sand dunes of Lahnanich, after a day of walking across a long Sahara desert plateau. The camping is in the heart of the sand dunes, tea ceremony at sunset on the dune accompanied by a good tajine for dinner and overnight camping in Sahara, sleeping in the tent or under the stars.
The camel trekking continues its way in the desert over the Sahara. Then return in the the afteroon to our Oasis Camp and a well earned shower! Dinner and overnight at the Oasis Camp. The next day, after breakfast in the our desert camp, transfer to the M’hamid center.
The treks are available from mid-September to mid-May, offering moderate temperatures ideal for desert exploration.
