After your camel trek, the adventure continues with a 4×4 exploration, taking you deep into remote parts of the Sahara where towering dunes and endless horizons create unforgettable views.
On the second day, you will discover the famous dunes of Erg Chegaga, the largest and wildest in Morocco. Unlike the more crowded dunes near Merzouga, this area remains untouched, offering peace, silence, and an authentic desert experience. You will also enjoy traditional meals prepared by local guides and spend your nights in a nomadic-style desert camp under the stars.

Morning departure from Zagora, transfer by taxi to Tagounite. Begin a camel ride adventure across the desert towards Erg Lihoudi (approx. 10 km, 3 hours). Walk through small dunes and stop for a picnic lunch under a tamarisk tree. In the afternoon, continue towards Oued Naam, a traditional meeting point for nomads with its desert well. Dinner around the campfire and overnight in a desert camp under the stars.
After breakfast, departure around 10:00 by 4x4 across the Hamada (rocky desert). Stop at the Sacred Oasis, a hidden cluster of palm trees with a natural spring, for rest and lunch. In the afternoon (around 15:00), continue towards the majestic Erg Chegaga dunes, the largest in Morocco (300m high, 40 km long). Enjoy the sunset over the Sahara, dinner, and overnight in a desert camp with nomadic tents.
Wake up early to admire the sunrise over Chegaga dunes. After breakfast, return to Zagora by 4x4 through M’hamid and Tamgroute, with a stop to explore the pottery workshops or Quranic library if desired. Arrival in Zagora around midday.
