Embark on an unforgettable 3 Days Desert Tour from Agadir to Erg Chigaga, the largest and most remote dunes in Morocco. This private Sahara trip blends cultural discovery and desert adventure, taking you through ancient kasbahs, Berber villages, valleys, and finally deep into the golden sands of Erg Chigaga.
Your journey begins in Taliouine, Morocco’s saffron capital, before continuing to Taznakht, a town renowned for its colorful Berber carpets. Driving through the palm groves of the Draa Valley, you’ll pass by mud-brick villages and ancient fortresses. In Tamegroute, you can explore traditional pottery workshops and its historic Quranic library before reaching M’hamid, the last village before the Sahara.
From M’hamid, the adventure shifts off-road. A 4×4 takes you across rocky desert plains and dry riverbeds until you reach the towering Erg Chigaga dunes, rising over 300 meters and stretching for 40 km. Here, you’ll enjoy a camel trek at sunset, followed by a night in a comfortable desert camp. Under a sky full of stars, traditional Sahrawi music and campfire stories bring the desert to life.
On the final day, you’ll cross the legendary Paris–Dakar trail and the vast Iriqui Lake, once a seasonal lake and now a dramatic dry salt flat. After lunch in Taznakht, the route continues through Taroudant, often called Little Marrakech, before returning to Agadir by late afternoon.
This 3-day Erg Chigaga desert tour from Agadir is the perfect choice for travelers seeking authentic Berber culture, off-road adventure, and the beauty of the Sahara Desert.
