Itinerary

Depart from your hotel in the morning in a 4x4, traveling along the national road that crosses the High Atlas Mountains via the Tichka Pass, the highest in North Africa (2260 meters above sea level), often snow-covered for much of the year. Have lunch in Agdez, then continue to Zagora through the Draa Valley. Dinner and overnight stay at a hotel.

Before heading to Erfoud, you will explore the surroundings of Zagora, the birthplace of the Saadians. Continue your journey to Erfoud via Alnif, crossing a vast rocky plain, and stop for lunch. In the afternoon, you will pass through Alnif and the Tafilalet Valley, the historical cradle of the Alaouite dynasty that has ruled Morocco for three centuries, until you reach Rissani, the legendary Sijilmassa, now famous for its date market. Arrive in Merzouga and enjoy a camel ride (1 hour). Dinner, campfire, and overnight stay in tents.

Early in the morning, you can witness the sunrise over the golden sand dunes of Merzouga. After breakfast at the camp, depart for Ouarzazate via Tinghir. Lunch at the Todra Gorges. In the afternoon, continue through Boulmane-du-Dadès (the valley famous for the Rose Festival), the Dades Gorges, and the scenic "Road of a Thousand Kasbahs" between the High Atlas and Anti-Atlas mountain ranges. Arrive in Ouarzazate through the Skoura Oasis. Dinner and overnight stay at a hotel.

After breakfast, visit the Kasbah of Aït Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Then head towards Marrakech through the Telouet Valley, where you can admire enchanting landscapes with small villages arranged like gardens. Continue through the famous Tichka Pass and the Laurel Road. Arrival in Marrakech around 6 PM.
