Desert Tour Agadir Erg Chegaga 5 Days

Embark on an unforgettable 5 days Desert Tour Agadir Erg Chegaga. This private 4×4 adventure blends culture, history, and Sahara exploration. Starting in Agadir, the journey takes you to Taroudant, famous for its colorful souks and historic city walls. You continue to Taliouine, Morocco’s saffron capital, before reaching Kasbah Ait Benhaddou and Ouarzazate, often called the “Gateway to the Sahara.”

The tour continues through the Valley of Roses, followed by the dramatic Dades and Todra Gorges. Travelers cross the rugged Saghro Mountains, passing traditional Berber villages, before arriving in Zagora, a desert town known for its palm groves and rich nomadic culture.

From Zagora, the journey heads south to Tamegroute, where you can explore its famous pottery workshops and historic Quranic library. The road then leads to M’hamid, the last village before the desert. From there, your 4×4 takes you across dunes, oases, and rocky desert landscapes until the majestic Erg Chegaga dunes appear.

At Erg Chegaga, enjoy a camel ride at sunset and a traditional Sahrawi dinner at a desert camp. Spend the night under the stars while listening to local music around the fire.

On the final day, drive along the Paris-Dakar piste and cross the dry Lake Iriqui. Stop in Foum Zguid and Taznakht before returning through Taroudant. The tour concludes in Agadir by late afternoon.
