The tour begins in Agadir and continues to Taroudant, often called “Little Marrakech.” Explore its colorful souks and historic ramparts before moving on. Next, the road leads to Taliouine, Morocco’s saffron capital. You then head east to the legendary Kasbah Ait Benhaddou and the city of Ouarzazate, known as the “Gateway to the Sahara.”
The journey continues through the Valley of Roses and the dramatic Dades Gorge. Later, you will explore the towering cliffs of Todra Gorge. Along the way, travelers cross the rugged Saghro Mountains and discover traditional Berber villages. Each stop reveals a different side of Morocco’s culture and scenery.
Heading south, the route passes through Zagora, a lush oasis filled with palm groves. This town was once an important stop for caravans bound for Timbuktu. From here, the road leads through Tamegroute and M’hamid before reaching the majestic Erg Chegaga dunes. At sunset, a camel ride introduces you to the magic of the Sahara. Dinner by the fire and a night under the stars complete this desert experience.
The return follows the Paris-Dakar piste and crosses the dry Lake Iriqui. Fossil sites and wide desert plains make this stretch unforgettable. The road then passes through Foum Zguid, Taznakht, and the Anti-Atlas mountains. A final stop in Taroudant concludes the adventure before arrival in Agadir.
