19–26 November | Moroccan Sahara Desert
Step away from the noise of everyday life and enter the timeless silence of the Moroccan Sahara.
The Opening is a transformational 8-day embodiment retreat created by Elsa Van Latum (The Lioness) in partnership with Sahara Vibe, specialists in authentic nomadic experiences and immersive desert journeys across Morocco.
This retreat invites you to return to yourself through movement, voice, presence, and meaningful connection with one of the most powerful landscapes on Earth.
Surrounded by endless dunes, ancient skies, and the wisdom of nomadic culture, you will experience a unique blend of somatic practices, vocal exploration, sacred ritual, and unforgettable desert adventures.
As the days unfold, the Sahara becomes both teacher and mirror. It offers a rare opportunity to listen deeply, release old patterns, and reconnect with your authentic expression.
Away from the demands of modern life, each day flows naturally between embodiment sessions, guided desert walks, campfire gatherings, music, moments of silence, and genuine human connection.
Meanwhile, the vastness of the desert gently encourages you to open—not by becoming someone new, but by remembering who you have always been.
The Moroccan Sahara is one of the world’s oldest and most untouched landscapes. For centuries, nomadic people have crossed these dunes, guided by the stars, intuition, and trust in the journey.
Here, distractions naturally fade away.
Instead, the desert teaches simplicity, presence, resilience, and surrender. Its silence creates space for clarity, while its openness invites freedom. At the same time, its breathtaking beauty awakens a deep sense of wonder.
Through this retreat, Sahara Vibe offers exclusive access to authentic nomadic life. Rather than observing the desert as tourists, participants experience it as travelers walking alongside families who have called this land home for generations.
You are welcomed at Marrakech Airport (RAK) and transferred to your traditional riad in the ancient medina. The afternoon is yours colour, craft, the hum of the city. Explore the souks, the rooftop cafes, the old walls.
Morning rooftop yoga practice. After breakfast, we leave Marrakech behind and drive south through Morocco's landscapes the High Atlas Mountains, the ancient Tizi n'Tichka Pass, the UNESCO village of Ait Ben Haddou, and the palm-filled Draa Valley. We arrive at M'hamid - the last village before the desert-and spend the night in a local guesthouse.
